Step 1: Submit PAYMENT for your exam
- Submit payment for the optional AP® Exams that you want to take in May 2025 by clicking on the link below for the school that you attend
- Exam Fee up until the payment deadline is $131 per exam
- Capstone exam fee is $181 per exam
- Exam Fee during the LATE payment window is $181 per exam
- Capstone exam fee is $231 per exam during the LATE period
- The site will be accessible for the Fall Payment window from September 5 through October 6 for exams corresponding to courses that commence in August, and for the Spring Payment window from January 15 through February 13 for exams that correspond to courses that commence in the Spring semester. LATE registration will incur a penalty fee. NO orders will be accepted after February 26, 2025.
- Students in Quarter 2/3 or Spring AP® classes will not be able to compete the MyAP Join Step until the course commences and may adhere to the SPRING deadlines.
- Payment can be submitted online with a debit or credit card, or by mailing in a check or money order. (A 3.1% credit card processing fee will be added to the cost of the exams for debit or credit card payments.) Payment method can be selected at the end of the payment form linked below.
Step 2: Activate your exam on the College Board MyAP website
- Visit https://myap.collegeboard.org and log in with your College Board account.
- Your College Board account is the same one used to access PSAT/NMSQT® and SAT® Scores as well as AP® scores from past years. If you do not have an account you will be prompted to create one.
- Activate your exam on MyAP by clicking on 'Join AP® Class/Exam' and enter the exam specific JOIN CODE (access code) for each of your optional AP® exams.

- Students will receive the Join Codes from the AP Course teachers in class
- Join Codes are teacher, subject and class period specific.

- After Joining the MyAP Classroom, the MyAP site will also prompt you to complete or update the Registration Screens where you enter your personal information
- Make sure to use your FULL LEGAL name that matches your school records, make sure to use an email address that is checked frequently to receive alerts from College Board and from SDUHSD AP Office, AND make sure to enter in your SDUHSD Student ID number to enable accurate attendance reporting on exam day.
Exam registration is not complete until payment is submitted AND the Exam is Activated with the Join Code on MyAP.
Failure to complete BOTH steps by the applicable deadlines means that the AP® Coordinator CANNOT complete processing of the exam order and no exam will be ordered.
